The Arabic word for "friend" has many different words, and they slightly differ from country to country. 

The official language:  

If your friend is male you can say it like this: Sadeeq

If your friend is female you can say it like this: Sadeeqah

Plural: Essadeeqa'a

In Syria they say it like this: 

If your friend is male you can say it like this: Rafeeq

If your friend is female you can say it like this: Rafeeqa

Plural: Roffaqa'a

In Egypt they say it like this: 

If your friend is male you can say it like this: Saaheb

If your friend is female you can say it like this: Saaheba

Plural: Sohab
