1- Clothes: malaabis (ملابس) and Egyptian language they called it: huduum (هدوم)

Also Clothes has another name: libs (لبس) It is plural word


What Are Arabic Men clothing vocabulary?




2- The shirt with long sleeves and coal, we called it: qamiiS (قميص) and the plural: qumSaan (قمصان)

3- Coat: miaTaf (معطف), plural: ma'aaTif ( معاطف ).

The most popular word is : balTo (بالطو), and the plural: balaaTi (بلاطي)

4- Jacket: Jakitta (جاكيت), plural: Jakittaat (جاكيتات)

There is another word but un-popular word: sutra (سترة), plural: sutar (ستر)

5- Trousers for men: Bantaloan Reejaalie (بنطالون رجالي) , and the plural: Bantaloanat Reejaalie (بنطالونات رجالي)

How Do You Say Goodbye in The Arabic Language



How Do You Say Goodbye in The Arabic Language and how is it used in a sentence?

Arabic language is rich so you will find out many ways to say goodbye in Arabic.

Here are some:


  • إلى اللقاء Ella Al Lekaa, or Illa Al-lekaa (lit. Until we meet again)

  • وداعا wadan (goodbuy for now), also It means goodbye and you will never see me again. the meaning it depends on the situation.  

  • مع السلامة Ma AL Salamah (lit. Be safe)

  • سلام Salam (lit. peace) This is a little bit informal

  • The Arab people used this word: باي Bye (lit Bye). This is the most usage word, and it’s not even Arabic language.



Here are some examples to use it in sentences:


  • أراك لاحقا، إلى اللقاء Arak lahaqan, Ella Al Lekaa (lit. See you later, goodbye)




  • علي أن أذهب، وداعا Alli An Athab, wadan (lit. I have to go, Bye)

How to Say: Have a nice meal, or bon appetit in Arabic Language

First way: Sahteen - صحتين

The Second way: The Egyptians say belhana wa shifa = بالهنا والشفاء

Sometimes we use these words as answering the invitation ( belhana wa shifa, or Sahteen) in this case it means: No

Example:
If Ali is having his dinner, and Hassan comes suddenly to who is eating his dinner.

 In this case Ali should says: It fadal Ma'aya = Have a dinner with me, or share me. It is meaning in Arabic إتفضل معايا

If Hassan answer this invitation with: belhana wa shifa, or Sahteen that means No in the polite way.

How Do You Say Teacher in Arabic!


Male teacher: Moallim معلم, or Modarres مدرس

Female teacher: Moallima معلمة, or Modarresa مدرسة

Female plural of teacher: Modarresat مدرسات, or Moallimat معلمات

Male plural of teacher: Moallimeen معلمين, Modarreseen مدرسين

ِAlso you can use Ostaz = أستاذ for Male teacher, and Ostaza = أستاذة for Female teacher.

Note:  You can use these words in formal way: Ostaz/ Ostaza for someone you don't know him/her.

When you say it for someone you don't know:

In this case the meaning changes that means: Ostaz = أستاذ it means Mr., Ostaza = أستاذة it means: lady, or Mrs

Also you can use Ostaz/Ostaza for someone who works as attorney "lawyer".

Family Members in Arabic Language


Family in Arabic: El Aila = العائلة also there is another word in Arabic: Al Oassra = الأسرة

Mother in Arabic means: Omee or Umm = أمي, Mama = ماما

Father in Arabic means: Abee = أبي, waalidy = والدي, Baba = بابا, Abati أبتي

Brother in Arabic means: shaqeek =شقيق, or Akhu =أخو

ٍSister in Arabic means: shaqeeka شقيقة, Ukht = أخت

My brother: Akhuya = أخويا

My sister: Ukhti = أختي

Grandpa: If you want to call him you can say it like this: jiddo = جدوا , or seedo سيدوا

The original word for Grandpa: jidd = جد

My Grandpa: seedee = سيدي, or  Jidee = جدي

If you're talking about Dad’s sister you can say it like this:

Am’maty = عمتي = my aunt

If you're talking about your mom’s sister it will be like this:

khalaty = خالتي = my anut

How do you say "uncle" in Arabic language!

The word “Uncle” has two meanings in Arabic language, the mother’s brother, and the father’s brother.

The mother’s brother is called “Khal” and is written like this in Arabic: “خال”.


The father’s bother is called “Umm” and is written like this in Arabic: “عمّ”.



How to Say I am Sorry in Arabic Language!

There are different words to say sorry in Arabic some of these words are formal and emphatic and some of these words are informal and it means forgive me.

The Formal Way:

Ana Asef - انا آسف  it means “I am Sorry”.

The female if she want to say " “I am Sorry” Ana Asefa = أنا أسفة

Maa’zeratan - معذرةً, that means apologies.

Aa’tazer - أعتذر,  It means I apologise.

Informal Way: 

Haq Alia = حقك عليا

If you want to say for someone “forgive me”

For male say it like this: Samehni = سامحني

For female say it like this: Sameheeni = Sameheeni
