How Do You Say Goodbye in The Arabic Language and how is it used in a sentence?

Arabic language is rich so you will find out many ways to say goodbye in Arabic.

Here are some:


  • إلى اللقاء Ella Al Lekaa, or Illa Al-lekaa (lit. Until we meet again)

  • وداعا wadan (goodbuy for now), also It means goodbye and you will never see me again. the meaning it depends on the situation.  

  • مع السلامة Ma AL Salamah (lit. Be safe)

  • سلام Salam (lit. peace) This is a little bit informal

  • The Arab people used this word: باي Bye (lit Bye). This is the most usage word, and it’s not even Arabic language.



Here are some examples to use it in sentences:


  • أراك لاحقا، إلى اللقاء Arak lahaqan, Ella Al Lekaa (lit. See you later, goodbye)




  • علي أن أذهب، وداعا Alli An Athab, wadan (lit. I have to go, Bye)
